More about Women's History

Did you know that we are gradually adding useful articles to our site, to help others who are researching the lives of women. This week we have uploaded as series of three articles entitled 'A Woman's Place is in the Home: the dutiful daughter, spinster, wife or outcast? A woman's choice?' giving a brief overview of the issues facing women from medieval times to the 1920s. The main emphasis has been on the choices presented to women, should they marry or not marry?

This is a fairly new aspect of our site and more articles will follow. We welcome offers of guest articles that might be suitable.

So head along to our articles page and explore.
